Co-operative Housing Ireland publishes annual report for 2016

More than 70 representatives from the eleven member socities of Co-operative Housing Ireland attended an Annual General Meeting in Cork to hear the association’s results for the year 2016.  The report highlights successes that include the delivery 191 new homes across the country and the creation of a new co-operative for the Connacht region.

The meeting incorporated a presentation from Ms Bridget Carroll of Cork University Business School and the Centre for Co-operative Studies on the current state of the global co-operative movement.  It also featured the presentation of certificates to board members who had successfully completed training in co-operative governance with the Plunkett Institute.
