NABCO, Ireland’s national co-operative housing provider, published its annual report at its Annual General Meeting in Dublin today. The report highlights some of the key successes of 2014 including the delivery of more than 80 new homes in Dublin and Munster as well as the opening of a new office for NABCO Dublin City Co-operative at Camac Crescent, Inchicore.
The Annual General Meeting is the primary democratic focus of the co-operative and is attended by representative delegates from local housing co-operatives. At this year’s AGM, two new Board members were elected from the tenant members of local co-operatives. James Deasy joins the Board as a representative of NABCO Munster while Yvonne Williams will serve on behalf of NABCO Dublin South.
The AGM was followed by a Special General Meeting at which representative delegates discussed and approved a number of proposed changes to the Rules of the organisation, incorporating modern standards of governance into the association’s constitution.
