Covid-19 Update – 28th March – please read

Dear Member,

As you are aware new restrictions in relation to Covid-19 came into force on 27th March 2020. These actions are being taken to protect our whole community. We need to update you on how you can get in contact with us during this time. We will still be actively working to support you, however there are some changes.

  • All Co-Operative Housing Ireland Offices are closed until the current restrictions are lifted.
  • Our phones will be answered by staff.
  • If you need to contact us, please call 01 6403074, your local office or email [email protected]  and we will endeavour to be of assistance. Your Housing Officer is still available to you by phone.
  • Emergency repairs are the only repairs now being undertaken.

How can you help?

  • Keep to the restrictions advised by the government.
  • If you can, check on other co-operative members who may be cocooning, living alone or need help. Remember to keep your distance to keep everyone as safe as possible. If you cannot help, please draw the situation to the attention of other members or CHI staff who will assist you.
  • Only call with truly emergency repairs. A member of staff will call you to carry out a Covid-19 risk assessment before a contractor can be assigned to the repair.
  • Other repairs will be undertaken when the restrictions are eased.
  • Locate the stopcock in your home NOW so you can turn off the water in the case of a flood.
  • Call 999 or 112 in emergencies if there is a danger to life or property.
  • If you have lost your employment, contact your Housing Officer as soon as possible so your rent can be adjusted.

We have again included some other numbers that might be useful for you at this time. We thank you all for your co-operation during a time that is difficult for all of us. We wish you and your family well as we face this challenge together.

Kind regards,

The Management and Staff of Co-operative Housing Ireland
