In collaboration with the Dublin Food Co-op, and historian Patrick Doyle, we’re very excited to present a discussion on the history of co-operatives

From humble beginnings to now being a significant force across Irish society, co-operatives have and continue to have an important role in Ireland

DETAILS

The Irish co-op movement promoted economic democracy against the backdrop of sweeping political change that led to independence, it’s exactly this striving for economic democracy that leads the co-operative movement to continue to play a significant role in Ireland, this discussion with Patrick Doyle and Dublin Food Co-op will cover the early stages of the Irish co-operative movement all the way through to recent times and developments.
