Co-operative Housing Ireland is the new name for NABCO, the national organisation representing, promoting and developing co-operative housing in Ireland since 1973.
The new brand was developed by a working group of the democratically elected board of the organisation. It has been selected to give a clearer expression of the organisation’s purpose and to underline the co-operative nature of the organisation. A new and stronger brand also emphasises the organisation’s commitment to growing housing supply in response to pressing housing need.
The new logo for the organisation features an icon of a house composed of a number of separate elements, expressing the diversity of co-operative membership and the value of mutual effort that underlines our work.
The working group that developed the new brand was led by board member Jane Mullins, a representative of Goodwill Housing Co-operative in Kildare. Speaking at the launch of the new brand, she said: “I’m excited to see the new public face for our organisation. As a board, we have committed to growing co-operative housing across Ireland to meet the needs of local families. Our new name, Co-operative Housing Ireland, gives the clearest possible expression of our ambitions.”
The new brand will be rolled out on a phased basis over the rest of 2015. Contact details for all staff of Co-operative Housing Ireland remain the same and the organisation can also be contacted at [email protected]
