Kieron Brennan – Chief Executive Officer

Kieron Brennan has been CEO of Co-operative Housing Ireland since 2014. He has extensive experience in the community, voluntary and co-operative sector, which saw him lead the Irish League of Credit Unions from 2008 – 2014.

Prior to this, he held a leadership position as a Programme Manager with POBAL, a not-for-profit community development and financing company, which manages programmes on behalf of the Irish Government and the EU.

He was also Irish Manager of Triodos Bank (one of Europe’s largest ethical banks), Executive Director of Clann Credo (social development fund) and Chief Executive of Partas

Padraic Clancy – Head of New Business

Padraic Clancy is Head of New Business, leading the Co-operative Housing Ireland Development Team. Padraic has over 25 years in Property Acquisition and Development and holding a Honours Degree in Surveying and a National Diploma in Estate Management. Padraic has managed properties on behalf of NAMA, all major Banks and receivers and is a specialist in property management, security and maintenance..

Padraic was previously Head of VPSitex in Ireland, managing the security and maintenance works on large mixed Property Portfolios for PWC, Mazars, Grant Thornton and Duff and Phelps.


Catherine O’Brien – Head of Customer Services

As Head of Customer Services, Catherine has lead responsibility for the delivery of housing, childcare and community services on a national basis. Her work has often focused on the support and growth of communities.

Catherine has experience of delivering services within a range of regulatory frameworks and leading change on a local and sectoral level. Catherine has been a board member of Early Childhood Ireland since 2011 and is currently Vice Chair and Chair of the Audit Committee. Catherine regularly represents Co-operative Housing Ireland in a wide range of stakeholder relationships. Catherine is a member of the Chartered Institute of Housing and holds degrees in Early Years Education, Politics and History.


Pat Moyne – Head of Corporate Services

With more than 30 years’ experience of IT and Management Consultancy Pat  is leading the Change Programme to restructure the business to prepare for the growth strategy of the business and the new regulatory environment that is now in place.

Pat studied Computer Science at Trinity College Dublin and has worked with a number of large IT and Management Consulting firms as well as working in the Banking industry and, more recently, with a large property services firm. Pat was the Operations Director of BearingPoint and the Head of Operations and Service Delivery for Savills Ireland. Pat is a Member of the Irish Computer Society.


John Masterson – Head of Finance

John has almost 40 years’ experience in finance, compliance and risk, both in Ireland and abroad. Although currently responsible for finance, on his arrival John was also responsible for HR, IT and administration. John was also an integral part of the recent organisational review.

John studied commerce in UCD and qualified as an accountant while working in the ESB. While working for the ESB, he spent time on deployment in Sudan and London. On leaving the ESB, he joined ICS Building Society and held various roles including Head of Internal Audit, Assistant Secretary to the Society and Head of Facilities Management. He also administered the ICS Pension Plan for 10 years. ICS Building Society was a subsidiary of Bank of Ireland Group. As well as working on several group projects, John was the Regulatory Compliance Manager for BoI Consumer Banking, which covered mortgages, credit cards, investments and general insurance.
