The Member Engagement Working Group consists of CHI Members from across the country that support the Member Engagement Team. They volunteer their time and energy to plan Member Engagement national activities. Being part of the group is an opportunity to meet other Members and have your voice heard while planning national events and initiatives. Have you got any fun ideas for summer?

We need help to create a resource guide of fun summer activities and projects. Throughout the summer we are inviting Members to send us ideas for activities adults and young people can get involved in for their summer holidays. These ideas could come from your experiences of summer holidays as a child, or they could be activities you currently take part in. An example may be what you did at a local sports day, volunteer work you took part in, or activities you see available in your community. We will update you closer to June on the CHI Member Engagement Facebook group, the Members section of the Website and by text or email. Photo of your County CHI and the Member

Engagement Working Group would like to see photos of your community or county! Can you capture what you love about your county or your community in a photograph? The photo of your county initiative will run through May and June. We will post updates closer to the time in the CHI Member Engagement Facebook group. Recreate your favourite movie and win cinema tickets!

In a new joint project between the Member Engagement Working Group and the Member Engagement Team we are running a competition in July for two weeks. We want you to make a two-minute video clip recreating your favourite movie, either individually, in pairs or as a group. The two minute clip can be a short synopsis of the movie or three important scenes in the movie that you have chosen. Once the movie clip is complete, post it on the CHI Member Engagement Facebook page for other Members to see. If you do not have a Facebook page, you can send your clips to Sarah Reidy at members@cooperativehousing.ie. With your permission, the movie will be posted on the Facebook page. A simple guide and example made by the Member Engagement Team and Member Engagement Working Group will be shared on Facebook beforehand and the Members section of the website. Cinema tickets for your local cinema are up for grabs for the winners and two runners up. The competition will be judged by the artistic director of ‘Playnice Studios’.
