We are delighted to share our pre-budget submission for 2025. This submission reflects our ongoing commitment to advocating for affordable, sustainable housing solutions across Ireland. We have outlined key priorities and recommendations that we believe will positively impact the housing sector, strengthen communities, and support the growth of co-operative housing models. The investment proposals in this submission will protect future delivery of social and affordable housing through reduction in debt for AHBs, solutions to address legacy funding issues in the AHB sector, financial supports for retrofitting, as well as a proposal for an innovative housing model, Community Land Trusts, modern methods of construction, and an efficient and revised planning process will also contribute to greater savings to deliver more affordable and social homes that are high quality, more environmentally sustainable and with fairer rents for social housing tenants.
